MY PULTE EXPERIENCE

THE LOT NEXT DOOR

THIS LOT WITH FOUNDATION ISSUES HAS BEEN SOLD!!!

[picture

You have seen the pictures below of the heaving basement and other issues. Pulte has pushed dirt up along the areas that show the erosion of soil beneath the concrete steps and driveway. They have also taken out the basement so prospective buyers would not know there are foundation issues. It must have worked because someone bought the lot 22 June 2007 during their gigantic price reduction sale. It is truly a shame because even before the first nail is put in a board, the house will have foundation issues. buyer beware!

A travesty indeed.

These are the pictures from the lot next door. It was never built past the basement and flatwork stage. You can see where there are cracks in the basement floor, where the floor has heaved and is evidenced by where the water is sitting, the ground is falling away from the side of the basement wall and the metal piece that is supposed to hold the electric meter is either being pulled away from the basement wall or the basement wall is being pulled away from the metal piece. In addition, you can see that there have been two pieces of pipe placed in the egress window hole and also Pulte has been using an extension on the sump pump pipe to pump out the water.

Now pray tell why would the builder have to do this and it has been done in the past, if there was no water build-up and/or problem? As you can see the house is slighter higher than mine!! If that lot has a problem than why can't Pulte get through their state of denial to stand up, be counted and do what is right and buy my defective house back? A lot of inquiring minds want to know.

Anyway, with no further ado, here are the pictures:

Check out these new pictures after a couple days of rain.

A day or two after I posted the pictures of the basement filled with water, it was fixed. However, since the basement has been drained of water, the ever growing damage can easily be seen. You can see how the basement floor is rising. IF the basement had a house sitting on it, the damage would be worse. However, this is bad enough. This lot next door continually validates the bad soil my house and this basement was built on.

This is a picture of the upper part of the drive way. It was backfilled at one time, but as you see, not very well.

These are pictures of the back yard of this lot. The way this lot is graded and it probably will not be graded any differently later. I know this because my lot was never graded properly either. Regardless. When it rains all of the rain from this property will flow into my property. I have enough issues with water on the property and underneath the house. This will only cause more problems with the foundation.
